work from home real or scam
So, here I was back in US after a gap of two years. Its summer here and I was at home with my kids and thinking of all the ways to keep the two happy and whiling away time productively without having to ask too much help from the tv.
I did get a bit of free time to myself in all the hullabaloo of packing, unpacking, organising and what not.I asked friends as to how i could make a couple of extra bucks and still be around the house.
And the answer that won my heart and lazy soul was "work from home".I could do that.seems like the easiest thing on earth.Data entry and billing. That cant be too hard.right?
I was in for a huge surprise. The sites that advertised "work from home"ops led me to other sites where internet gurus and miracle housemakers were telling these incredible stories about "how to use their mantra to gain success" or "how this really easy method can make millions".
This was serious. These people are talking a couple of thousands every week and if you are serious about the system and work a couple thousand every day.
hmm...if i was making a couple of thousand dollars every single day I would be serious about this right?and why were all those silly people in suits going to a 9-5 job?I mean you could sit in your pajamas every single day and make more money than Trump.
The first site I visited had this work from home mom advising and giving a personal guarantee of money back even if i joined....her promise was the secret was worth more than 5000$ but she would give me the same for a measly $9.95.She said join me now and I will personally guide you to success. It is so easy that all you need is a computer and the basic knowledge to run the same.
I visited the internet guru's site next. This guy was selling his secret for $19.95 and promising pretty much the same. Both had videos showing mansions at beautiful locales and sports cars and promising me the same great lifestyle.
I had seen my ever busy husband reading reviews before buying anything and thought i should do the same myself.I mean this was a huge decision right?I had to check how many millionaires were driving around in sports cars and living in those awesome houses before i could part with my $9.95 - 19.95...
First, it was difficult to find a solid site with unbiased review.Second, the first few reviews I read thrashed the sites I was interested in and redirected towards sites that they thought was a better bet.(by the end of this I had about 30 more websites with homemakers, internet gurus, college dropouts everyone claiming the exact same thing that I had first thought was a unique idea....now I could tell exactly how the next video on work from home expert go)
When I thought I had found a unbiased review site, they adviced me to act according to my best knowledge and not to rely too much on the review.
Okay..I did not want to part with my money as some of the reviews said once you paid up and were on the other side it only meant you will be paying more money to keep the whole idea going.I did not see a single person claiming a $2000 a day here.I even saw that the person taking interviews and endorsing the website was paid.
Next, I went looking at FB groups where moms who worked from home could indulge each other with their success stories for work from home.I came upon a group who accepted me and I started asking every person who posted their link on how they were doing it.
The first one I talked to had this weird networking job.She said all I had to do was pay $25 to her paypal account and become a member of her company(i do not think she gave me the name of the company) and i will be given a domain. After this all I do is post links in various groups and ask the other intersted members to do the same(this time to my paypal account).I asked her what was the role of the company then?Could I not create my own account and do the same?Isnt this sort of illegal? No answer.
Acouple of days later she asked me if I was still interested and that many people came through after a bit of meditating on the same.not me...sorry
Then....?
I dont know..Im still looking and will keep everyone posted
LuvLazy mom
